What this covers
The Keeplight client portal at app.keeplight.ai, where your team sees the status of your automations, reports, invoices and Lantern recordings, and the page that connects Keeplight Lantern to your account. It also covers the trial portal you get after booking a call, including the optional AI audit chat, and the support chat on the Support page. Keeplight is run by Bryce Walls in Orange County, California. Questions go to bryce@keeplight.ai. Booking a call on keeplight.ai is covered by our website privacy policy, and the extension itself by the Lantern privacy policy.

We don't sell this information or share it for advertising. For each Lantern recording, the step text and the person's answers (no names, emails, screenshots or voice) get a first read from an AI assistant, Claude by Anthropic, which Keeplight reviews before it counts.
What we collect
- Your sign-in: your email address. If you sign in with Google, Google also gives us your name, profile photo and account ID. Our sign-in provider keeps a record of when your account was created and when you last signed in, and may log your IP address to protect against abuse.
- Your company's account: the company name, plan, the email addresses allowed to sign in, the status of your automations, activity, milestones, reports, and invoices (number, date, amount, status and a link to pay).
- Your Lantern team: for each person who joins with your company code, their email, name, whether they're approved, and who approved them and when. Recordings they send are described in the Lantern policy.
- Feedback you send: bug reports, feature requests, comments and votes, an optional screenshot, and the page, browser and screen size captured with a report (shown to you before you send it). No typed form contents, passwords or browsing history.
- Team invites: when someone on your company's access list adds coworkers' work emails to invite them, we keep each email address, when it was invited, how many times it was sent and who sent it, and we email that person one invite to the onboarding page on your company's behalf. Invites are never used for marketing.
- Keeplight's own notes: internal notes, tasks, pricing and a history of who had access and when. Only Keeplight can see these.
What's saved in your browser
No analytics, advertising pixels or tracking cookies. The portal saves only what it needs: your sign-in session so you stay signed in, your email for a few minutes while an email sign-in link is on its way, and your light or dark mode choice.
The AI audit chat
After you book a call, your trial portal offers an optional AI audit chat about your team, workflows, tools and goals. It is an AI assistant, not a person, and it says so before you start. It runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic: Keeplight sends what you type in the chat to Anthropic to get its replies, and Claude also writes a short summary of your answers and a pre-call brief for Bryce. You accept a notice before your first message, and we save when you accepted it and which version you saw.
We save the transcript, your answers sorted by topic and the summary with your booking. You and Keeplight can see the transcript, and Bryce reads your answers, the summary and the brief before your call. Messages that look like an ID, card or bank account number, a password or an access key are left out: they aren't sent to Anthropic or saved. If the chat keeps going off topic, it pauses until Bryce reopens it. You can skip any question or stop anytime, and the rest of the portal works without the chat. How we prepare for your call is also described in our website privacy policy.
The support chat
Support in the portal has an AI support chat. It is an AI assistant, not a person, and it says so at the top of the chat. It runs on Claude, an AI model made by Anthropic: Keeplight sends what you type in the chat, and the earlier messages in that conversation, to Anthropic to get its answers. It answers from our support page and never sees your account, billing or anyone else's information.
Each conversation is saved to your account. Only you and Keeplight can see it; other people at your company can't. When the chat can't answer, or you ask for Bryce, it tells you, then sends Bryce your account email, the conversation, a short summary Claude writes, and which page of the portal you came from, and Bryce replies by email. Messages that look like an ID, card or bank account number, a password or an access key are left out: they aren't sent to Anthropic or saved. When the chat can't answer a question, we also keep the question, reworded without names, email addresses or numbers, so we can add the answer to the support page.
Dictation in the AI audit chat
The AI audit chat has an optional microphone button. When you press it, your browser turns your speech into text in the text box, and you can edit that text before you send it. To do this, your browser may send your audio to the company that makes it (for example Google for Chrome, Microsoft for Edge, or Apple for Safari), which processes it under its own privacy policy. Keeplight never receives or stores your audio, only the text you choose to send. The microphone is on only while the chat shows Listening, and it turns off when you press the button again or send your answer.
Who can see what
- People on your company's access list see your company's account, your Lantern team and the recordings they sent, and nothing about any other company.
- A person who joined Lantern with your company code sees only their own membership and recordings.
- The feedback roadmap is shared by every client. Other clients see a post's approved wording, status, approved comments and vote counts, never who sent it, your company, the page details or the screenshot. Bryce reviews every post and comment first.
- Keeplight can see and edit all client accounts.
These limits are enforced by security rules on Google's servers, not only in the page.
Payments
Invoices link to Stripe's payment page. Stripe handles your payment under its own privacy policy, and we never see or store your card number.
Who processes it for us
These companies handle information for us as service providers, only to provide their service:
- Google Firebase: sign-in, sign-in emails, storing accounts and Lantern recordings, and hosting the portal
- Resend: delivering the sign-in and team invite emails Keeplight sends (the recipient's email address and the email itself)
- Google: Google sign-in, if you use it
- Stripe: invoice payments, when you follow a payment link
- GitHub: a private issue tracker holding the approved text of bug reports and requests, with a short client code instead of your company name (no emails, no screenshots)
- Anthropic: runs the AI audit chat in the trial portal: what you type there goes to Claude for its replies, a summary and a pre-call brief for Bryce (see The AI audit chat). When you send a bug report or request, Claude reads its title and text (with a short client code, never your name, email, company, page details or screenshot) to suggest a clearer title, a tidier description with personal details removed, and whether it repeats an earlier request; Bryce reviews that suggestion before anything is published. Claude may also read the approved text in the GitHub issue to help investigate a bug and draft a fix that Keeplight reviews. It also runs the support chat: what you type there goes to Claude for its answers, and for a short summary for Bryce when it passes your question to him (see The support chat)
How long we keep it
- Your company's account: kept while you're a client. Deleted 30 days after the engagement ends. During those 30 days, your company's lead can download a copy in the portal.
- Lantern recordings: deleted 90 days after your company's audit is delivered, with their first read and any build suggestion Keeplight asked Claude for (see the Lantern policy).
- AI audit chat: the transcript, answers, summary and pre-call brief are deleted with your booking within 12 months if we don't start a project. If we do, they're kept with your company's account.
- Support chat: each conversation, and anything it passed to Bryce, is deleted 12 months after its last message, or with your company's account (or your booking, in a trial portal) if that comes first. Questions it couldn't answer, kept without names, email addresses or numbers, are deleted after 12 months.
- Feedback: screenshots deleted 12 months after you send them, or with your company's account if that comes first. Who sent a request is deleted with your company's account. The approved wording may stay on the shared roadmap without your name or company.
- Team invites: kept while your company works with Keeplight. Removing an invite in the portal deletes it.
- People removed from access: they can no longer sign in or see anything. We keep a note that they had access, with the dates, for as long as we keep your company's account.
We keep invoices and payment records after the account is deleted, for as long as tax law requires.
Your privacy rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, give you a copy, correct it or delete it. Email bryce@keeplight.ai. We'll confirm within 10 business days and answer within 45 days, may ask you to confirm it's really you, and will never treat you differently for asking. Your company's lead can also ask us to remove anyone from your access list at any time. If you're a California resident, these are also your rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act. We don't sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
Our role
For information about your company's staff and customers that you share with us to do the work, we act as your service provider. We use it only to deliver the services in our agreement with your company.
